About homeopathy

How classical homeopathy works and how I prescribe it in practice.

What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a complementary system of healthcare developed by the German physician Samuel Hahnemann in 1796. It is based on the idea of "like with like", and it looks at each person as an individual rather than at a diagnosis alone.

Two people with the same complaint may therefore have quite different consultations, because what matters is your own experience: how you feel, how you sleep, how you react to stress, what makes you feel better or worse.

Good to know: homeopathy is not a replacement for regular medical care. Its effects are not recognised as scientifically proven, and I don't promise results. I never advise you to stop or change medication prescribed by your doctor or specialist.
How I work

Four things you can count on

A whole-person view

I take into account physical, emotional and lifestyle aspects. Your complaint is part of a bigger picture, and I want to see all of it.

An individual approach

There is no standard programme. Our conversation shapes what we do, and we review it together as time goes on.

Open to every age

I welcome babies, children, adults and older people, including those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and I'll talk through any questions you have first.

Working with your GP

Many people use homeopathy alongside regular care. With your consent I'm happy to keep your GP or specialist informed.

What happens in a consultation?

  • Intake: general information about the homeopathic method and how I work.
  • First consultation (about 90 minutes): a detailed conversation in which I listen to your whole story and get to know you and your situation. Please bring a list of any medication you take. In the Netherlands this is in person; from outside the Netherlands it can be online.
  • Follow-ups (30–60 minutes): in person or online, depending on what works for you.
